The Rule Engine allows you to create powerful, custom rules to automatically manage your advertising campaigns across platforms like Google and Meta. Adsbot’s automation agents act as your personal account manager, working around the clock to execute tasks based on the specific performance conditions you set. The goal is to automate repetitive optimization tasks, allowing you to react to performance changes instantly and focus your time on high-level strategy.
To create a rule, first, choose the specific resource you want the rule to monitor, such as an entire campaign, an ad group, or even an individual keyword, and give your rule a name. Next, you select the data time frame the rule should analyze, for example, 'last 7 days' or 'yesterday'. This determines the period of performance data the rule will use to check its conditions.
The core of the engine is its 'if-then' logic. In the 'Condition' section, you define the 'if' part of your rule by selecting a metric, a comparison, and a value. You can build complex triggers by adding multiple conditions using 'AND' or 'OR' logic. For the 'then' part, you select an 'Action type'. Actions can range from simply notifying you to automatically pausing an ad, increasing or decreasing a budget, adjusting a bid based on your target Cost Per Acquisition (CPA), or adding a negative keyword.
Finally, you set the 'Rule schedule' to determine how often Adsbot should check if your conditions have been met. This can be hourly, daily, or on a custom schedule. You can also configure a notification schedule. Once created, all your active rules are displayed on the main Rule Engine dashboard, where you can monitor when they last ran, when they will run next, and easily pause, edit, or delete them at any time.
